About the Role
Now Hiring: Part-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: Henrico County, VA
We’re seeking a dependable, caring, and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our small licensed preschool learning group (family day home) located in Henrico County. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with young children, is a team player, and takes pride in creating a nurturing and fun learning environment.
Position: Part-Time Teaching Assistant
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:00 pm – 6:00 PM
Includes one 15-minute break
Start Date: August 25, 2025
Hours per Week: 20 hours
Responsibilities Include:
Leading age-appropriate learning activities
Preparing and serving snacks
Supervising indoor and outdoor play
Diapering and assisting with potty training as needed
Keeping school areas clean and organized
Preparing children’s daily reports
Assisting with seasonal events and extracurriculars (e.g., holiday parties, graduation, etc.)
Compensation:
$13/hr – 1 to 12 months of relevant childcare experience
$14/hr – 12 to 24 months of relevant childcare experience
$15/hr – 36+ months of relevant childcare experience
Experience must be within a licensed center, school, family day home, children’s program/service, or as a caregiver for a family.

Requirements
Job Requirements:
Ages 18 years and older.
A national background check and Child Protective Service check will be required.
CPR/First aid certification is needed but can be provided to you if needed.
Education requirements:
High School Diploma.
Higher Education Degree is a plus.
